These arrests took place while having an encirclement yesterday with the leadership of Prathip Kappuliyaththa, assistant police examiner of the Jaffna drug prohibition department. A person got arrested in a house in Water tank road, Kurunagar, Jaffna while selling drugs.
3 grams of pure heroin had been seized from him. The suspect is a 26 years old young man from the same area. At the same time 3 guys had been arrested in Jaffna, Maniyanthoddam area with heroin for both buying and selling purpose. The police stated that the ages of those suspects are 21, 23 and 28.3 grams of heroin had been seized from them.
Also a person had been arrested in Jaffna, Kurunagar area in a house in Sea street for hiding heroin for selling purpose. 1kg and 370 grams of heroin has been seized from him. The police caught him while he was setting fire to burn the heroin and seized it from him. The police stated that the suspect is nearly 28 years old from the same area.
